While the weather has gotten significantly colder lately, it doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy wakeboarding and barefoot skiing during the winter months. With proper preparation, you can get out on the water and keep enjoying your favorite water sports during the chilly season! Here are some tips to keep you warm on the water:
BRING PROPER COLD GEAR
If you’re planning on enjoying water activities during the winter months, protecting yourself from the cold weather is a top priority so you won’t freeze. A few cold gear clothing must-haves for the water include a high-quality winter wetsuit that includes thermal lining, thick gloves, neoprene socks or winter surf booties, and a surf hood or neoprene cap. We offera variety of wetsuits on our website. Additionally, it’s important to bring dry warm clothing such as jackets, long sleeve shirts, and pants to change into when you’re finished out on the water. By bringing proper cold gear and clothing, you’ll be able to keep yourself warm and enjoy the water comfortably.
USE A HEATER KIT FOR YOUR BOAT
Heater kits are mountable and allow you to keep your boat warm so you have a cozy seat to come back to after being out on the water. Keep everyone aboard comfy and toasty by adjusting the heat exactly how you want it.
SIP ON HOT DRINKS
Hot beverages such as tea, water, and coffee can keep you refreshed and warm while you’re enjoying your time on the water. Including any of these drinks in a thermos while you’re out on the water will make sure that it stays warm for your entire trip. You can also bring other hot liquids such as soup!
